BS&B Type IPD Unitized Pressure Sensor
The BS&B IPD Unitized Pressure Sensor is a critical safety component designed for industrial explosion suppression systems. It provides rapid detection of pressure rises associated with dust explosions in process enclosures. By identifying the earliest stages of combustion, this sensor allows the system to neutralize a threat before it can develop into a catastrophic deflagration.

How It Works
Triple Redundancy: The unitized housing contains three individual pressure sensors.
“Two-out-of-Three” Logic: To prevent false activations, the system only triggers an electrical signal when at least two of the three sensors detect a pressure rise.
Instant Activation: Once triggered, the sensor sends a signal to activate Explosion Suppression Cannons, which discharge food-compatible sodium bicarbonate to extinguish the combustion in milliseconds.
