Light Load/Intermittent Use: You may set the controller as low as 35% of full speed.
Heavy Load/Continuous Use: Do not set the controller below 66% of full speed.
Why? Reducing speed via voltage lowers the motor’s torque and significantly reduces its ability to dissipate heat. Running a heavy load at low voltage will cause the motor to overheat and potentially fail.
